Transcription #2 - "Icarus"

 

 

Here is a transciption of Martin Simpson's version of Anne Lister's song "Icarus" which was recorded in 1992 on the now-out-of-print Thunderbird Records CD, "Red Roses", and which also appears on Martin's 1999 live "Bootleg USA" CD. The transcription was done by Cambridge, MA resident Allyn Dimock as an Adobe Acrobat .pdf file.

Martin plays the tune in CGCGCD tuning, capo 3, so it's in the key of Eb major. The transcription is written for the same tuning, but without the capo, so it's in the key of C major.
